English 1-horse, 7-passenger Gurney Cab by Allen of Brigg, shafts attached, sells with lamps, 69" x 137" x 86"H (with shafts) -Restored with original inside > HISTORY: The word "cab" is derived from cabrio let, the name of a popular two-wheeled gig that was once used as a hired vehicle. These "back-door cabs" presented a problem for the drivers, whose fares could easily skip out the back door without paying. The Gurney Cab also became popular as a private vehicle. *NOTE: BUYER TO ARRANGE PICKUP. This item MUST be removed from the premises by JUNE 27.
